Editor's Note:
When posting images
on Wanana.com I have always tried to put images that I felt had artistic
merit. It was all my own work, so the artistic merit is an arguable point
because beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I haven't found anyone who
complained about the pictures I posted. However, in that endeavor I always
avoided pictures of people.
China is, of course, home to 1.3 billion
people, so any photo-essay of the country, I feel, must include pictures of
people. So, with these galleries I depart from tradition and take things on a
bit more of a photojournalistic direction. This website is, after all, home of
whatever I wanna.
